Our Mission
Feel the beat is dedicated to bringing the expressive world of dance and music education using vibrotactile technology to children who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing and with Special Needs. Ultimately we are an accessible program for ALL!
Our Impact
Feel the Beat's unique classes are transformative. Students with cerebral palsy now dance choreography without the assistance of their walker, students with proprioceptive and balance deficits are able to strut confidently across the floor. Students are able to overcome physical barriers in order to achieve new heights. In addition to its many benefits for the physical body, FTB helps students to develop a strong sense of empathy, learn sign language, and express themselves artistically through the outlet of movement. A student walking into their first-class simply isn't the same as the vibrant, beaming student who walks out of their recital.
Goals for the Future
Through our program's success, we are motivated to take Feel the Beat to the next level.
- Our goal is to expand our program to create sound accessible and inclusive environments nationwide, for individuals of ALL abilities.
- Implementation of the mobile technology will extensively increase impact, broaden our scope and produce accessible driven solutions to matters of inaccessibility.

~ Currently, we have 229 students. 63% receive a scholarship to make classes accessible for them.
~ Provided $52,000 of scholarships in 2018-2019.
Donate and Support Us through a Scholarship
With your donation, you can help provide children in need with free access to Feel the Beat classes. The following are the scholarship opportunities available for your support:
· $4,800 affords classes for 10 students for a year
· $3,240, affords classes for 5 students for a year
· $1,300 affords 2 students classes for a year
· $800 affords 1 students classes for a year
