#FeedYemen is an awareness and fundraising campaign partnered with UNICEF. We’re targeting all of our youth, future leaders, young professionals, parents, families, and EVERYONE to come together to unite for the cause of helping those in Yemen going through the worst levels of famine of our time.
The problem: Too many people are unaware that there is even a famine and war happening in Yemen today. What is more troubling is that media outlets are not reporting nearly enough about the magnitude of the struggles there.
The solution: We, everyday people, want to start the conversations and encourage people to take action through fundraising. In addition, we want to become part of the way people seek out knowledge and opportunities for action on a global scale.
How you can help:
1. Like our page and invite your friends from all over the world to do the same! Please also visit our Instagram and Twitter.
2. Post a picture or video of yourself (and send it to us, so we can share our appreciation too) with the reasons why you care about the #FeedYemen campaign. Share where you’re from so we can measure the impact of our campaign! For example: “My name is Maysa. I’m from Dallas, TX, and I support #FeedYemen.”
3. Donate as much as you can. Whether it’s $100 or $1, every penny makes a difference.
What makes us different? Awareness is at the core of our campaign to ensure that people not only donate, but that they KNOW about the cause that they are donating to.
Where is the money going? As the hashtag says clearly, we will be sending all funds to help with medical and food aid in Yemen. We chose to partner with Unicef to ensure the integrity of the campaign.
We will continue to post live stats and share more facts about what is happening in Yemen, so stay in tune for our future posts!
