My Neighbor's Cupboad started in 2013, rising up during the Black Forrest fires to help provide much needed relief to the communities afected by this tragedy. We have continued on to provide much needed food and resoursces to the communities we serve ever since. We are the only saftey net in Penrose, Colorado, as well as serving Westcliffe, Colorado to reach our primarily senior and veteran populations. We are currently serving over 18,000 individuals per year and it is done soley by the generosity of our neighbor's and volunteers as we do not receive any State, Local, or Federal grants or funding.
We are asking for your support during these trying times, to continue being able to serve those who are most vulnerable during this outbreak. As you know our seniors are not able to get out to shop due to saftey and health issues, and we are one of the only safeplaces for them to come and pick up groceries weekly, without having the concern of contamination or harm. When they are here, they receive fresh produce, fresk meat, fresh eggs, fresh bread, hygeine and shelf stable items, from volunters they have built relationships with and have come to know and trust.
At such time as nescessary, our emergency response team of FEMA Certified volunteers will activate per policy, to deliver to our quarantined seniors. Your donation is so vital for the continuation of providing for our seniors for the duration of this crisis, and to be able to continue providing for them as we rise from it.
Thank you and God Bless
