Please help support our courageous healthcare workers and our struggling local restaurants... and their workers!
Despite unprecedented circumstances and dire shortages of personal protective equipment, all types of healthcare workers are taking on personal risks and working tirelessly to deliver care to COVID-19 patients. We may not be able to repay them for their dedication, but we can help support and cheer them with good food!
As we provide coffee breaks and meals to these brave souls, we're also helping independently owned local restaurants and their workers to survive the economic consequences of this unprecedented crisis.
Each and every one of us can help. Donations to this fundraiser are tax deductible through our partnership with the Rotary Club of Newton, a 501(c)3 non-profit. Contribute what you can; any amount makes a difference:
$10: Feeds 1 frontline worker
$100: Feeds a team of 10
$500: Feeds a small ER / ICU department
$1000: Feeds a large ER / ICU department
$5000: Provides a daily meal for 70 frontline workers for one week
100% of donations* go to supporting workers at healthcare facilities - hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, etc. - on the covid-19 frontline through the purchase of food from local restaurants. So far, we have served healthcare facilities, and purchased from restaurants, from downtown Boston as far as Lowell, Worcester and Taunton.
Feed the Fight Boston was organized by long-time Newton residents Angela Adams Spence, Karen Masterson, Kimberly Scholle Slater and Leslie Meral Schick. Take look at our website and Facebook page for information on the organization and up-to-minute postings.
