The birds of prey at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park are there for rehabilitation and future release or because they have been injured and cannot take care of themselves in the wild. In order to receive the best possible nutrition the owls and hawks are fed a diet of mice. These mice cost about $2,000 every 6 months. Friends of the Forest at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park near Millington, Tennessee supports the State Park and the birds of prey by helping to pay for some of the mice. Help us, the park and the raptors by donating to Feed the Birds.
