Thank You for your support to the Franklin County Rescue K9 Unit. We are a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization. Funds are used to cover the acquisition of new K9s, purchasing necessary equipment, vet bills, and training to maintain the effectiveness of the teams.
How does the K9 program benefit the community? Our bloodhounds are dedicated to search & rescue. Trailing missing people, from lost Alzheimer's and Dementia people to lost children, is our sole charge. We are committed to K9 Bloodhound trailing. K-9 Bloodhound trailing, also known as "man trailing" is a part of the Search and Rescue (SAR) service. Our mission is to provide life saving search and rescue services by providing trailing for humans and children.
Our bloodhounds have ongoing training several times per week in urban/rural trail settings and mountain settings. In order to provide the most up to date services to the public, funding is necessary to support our K9 Program.
