The Fairfax County Police Association (FCPA) is preparing to launch Phase 2 and Phase 3 of Project Appreciation. Your participation in Phase 1 was vital to our success. Over the course of just 3 days, we distributed over 2,300 ounces of hand sanitizer, more than 8,200 ounces of cleaner, 1,026 rolls of toilet paper and over 128,000 individually folded paper towels. With the utmost sincerity, let me say thank you for your partnership.
Supply bags distributed in Phase 2 will contain hand sanitizer, a cloth mask and a pint of commercial grade cleaner. We hope that you will partner with us once again in supplying a first responders and their families.
Phase 3 will focus entirely on those who have been ordered into quarantine. In Phase 3, we will be supplying those quarantined with payment for a one-month subscription to an entertainment streaming service (Netflix, Hulu, etc.), prepaid debit cards for making online purchases and a more robust package of supplies.
As a society, we started this pandemic as a sprint but have now learned that we are engaged in a undefined long distance race. The one thing certain, we are ALL in this race together.
As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds, we find ourselves facing unprecedented challenges. Officers and employees of the Fairfax County Police Department are working long hours, making their time incredibly valuable. At the end of a day, little is left for scouring stores to find necessities such as paper goods and cleaning products. The Fairfax County Police Association (FCPA) endeavors to help meet the needs of our officers and employees by providing these items through Project Appreciation. The goal of Project Appreciation is to provide every officer and employee in need with a package that includes paper towels, toilet paper and a cleaning agent rated to kill the COVID-19 virus. Our vendors are standing by and ready to deliver these hard to find products. We just need the financial support to put those products in the hands of those who are serving our community. Will you join us in making Project Appreciation a success?
*Any unused donations remaining at the conclusion of Project Appreciation will be donated to Fairfax County Victim Services.
