Family & Children’s Aid provides emotional and behavioral health services to children and adolescents who are in crisis, who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma or who have a mental health issue, and their families. We’ve been providing these services since 1809 and we are now the largest provider of children’s outpatient mental health services in Connecticut, serving over 6,000 children annually across 72 Connecticut cities and towns. We have over 20 programs that help to meet these needs of the children, teens and their families through outpatient child guidance clinics, in-home programs, group homes, a therapeutic after school program, PeaceLove Expressive Arts, Life is Good Playmakers, a substance abuse outpatient program, parent support services, a homeless shelter for mothers & children and more. This is Family & Children's Aid very first Ragnar Fundraiser and we are super pumped for it! We have an awesome team of 12 staff and family/friends of staff who will be running a total of 190 miles!!! We have first time Ragnar runners and some experienced runners who are all committed to the same overall goal of raising awareness of emotional and behavioral health. We are running to further our every day commitment to helping children and teens who have experienced abuse, neglect or trauma to heal. By donating to our FCA RunPlaysis Ragnar Fundraiser, you are helping kids heal, giving them hope for a brighter future and strengthening the communities in which they live.
