Together we have an opportunity to create the Favarh ADAPTIVE WELLNESS CENTER, an innovative and multi-purpose facility that will provide healthy lifestyle activities to help individuals stay active, fit, and socially engaged.
At Favarh, we believe in providing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) the necessary support to have a job or day program, to live a independently as possible in the community, and to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. This is our Whole-Person philosophy and we believe that each of these three components is equally important.
We know that people with IDD are at greater risk of being overweight or obese, isolated, and lonely. Also people with IDD are less able to effectively manage stress and at greater risk of the many health consequences from chronic stress.
The Favarh Adaptive Wellness Center is the answer to this need. It will include a basketball-sized court with multi-use floor to support a variety of programs including recreation, wellness, sports, and theater.

“Our son is a happier person when he can be a part of a social group. Having a facility that supports social opportunities and provides healthy activities is a real game changer. To be happy and healthy….that’s what we all want.”
