Fashion for Change was founded in 2010 at the University of Waterloo.
We used art to combat the pressures and at times isolating experience of being a student living away from home. Through fashion, music, and dance, we made meaningful connections and built a creative outlet at Waterloo. Our Annual Charity Fashion Show inspires hundreds of students to be the change in their circles and in the world.
Our love of art started this, but Moyamba keeps us motivated.
We learned about Sierra Leone a time when the country was in need of academic infrastructure after a volatile 11-year civil war. Through WE Charity’s WE Villages Program, we began donating our proceeds to Moyamba, Sierra Leone with focus on restoring education. We hope to empower thousands of students by enabling them to access quality primary and secondary education.
To date we have raised over $115,000 for WE villages and with your support we can contiune to be the change in our local and global communities.
