Last November Terry slipped on the ice, and as she jokes, the resulting "triple axle" ended in a triple leg fracture! So she'll be completing the 5K in a wheelchair pushed by the Family Service team!
We're dressing her and the chair to look like a woman seated at a table eating Meals on Wheels surrounded by a group of Family Service volunteers.
Terry says these past four months taught her how hard many daily activities are for people who can't walk or even stand. Our senior services provide meals, rides, and in-home support like bathing, dressing, cleaning, cooking and laundry to help older adults stay safely at home for as long as possible. Volunteers keep our costs lower and help us serve more people.
Please sponsor one of our runners; we're running, walking and rolling to help people who who can't. Your modest donation makes a big difference!
Your $15 gift will reimburse 50 volunteer miles to deliver ~15 meals or provide a senior several rides for dialysis, chemotherapy or physical therapy treatments.
You're an important member of our team; you increase what we can do with your gift today. Thank you! Terry
