The 8th Annual Massachusetts Run For The Fallen (MARFTF) 5K Run/Walk is a Military Friends Foundation, 501(c)3 project dedicated to keeping alive the memory of military heroes that gave their lives to protect our freedoms since September 11, 2001. Military Friends Foundation offers grant programs, community building events, case management and more in support of families who have faced hardships related to military service.
The MA Run for the Fallen 5k is comprised of a group of runners, walkers and support crew whose mission is clear and simple: to run in honor of every Massachusetts service member who has been killed-in-action or died on active duty since the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan began. Each mile of sweat and pain and each flag saluted is to pay homage to one servicemember’s life and their family. We run to raise awareness for the lives of those who died, to rejuvenate their memories and keep their spirits alive. We run to raise support for programs that assist the families of the Fallen and to aid in the healing process for Massachusetts residents whose lives have been affected by war. MARFTF has no political affiliation or agenda, but to simply honor those who have fought, and those who have fallen under the American Flag. Regardless of war or conflict or branch of service, we ultimately run for them all, honoring their service and sacrifice and remembering that they each gave up a future so that we could have ours. Please consider honoring their memory today by making a donation.
