Hello, my name is Daniel Trust and I am President and CEO of Daniel Trust Foundation, an award-winning nonprofit organization that provides mentorship and scholarships to low-income students in Bridgeport, CT and New York, NY. Since 2014, in collaboration with donors of Daniel Trust Foundation, I have mentored over 100 young people in the United States and I have awarded these talented young women and men with $94,000 in scholarships. As you know, I was born and raised in Rwanda. I survived the 1994 Rwandan genocide and was given the opportunity to come to the United States as a refugee in 2005 at the age of 15. Now, I am 30 years old and my heart tells me it is time I start helping young people in Rwanda like I help them here in the United States. To launch my new program in Rwanda, I’ve partnered with a Science and Technology High School for girls. I will fund an SAT Boot Camp for 90 girls and I will award 10 girls who are coming to study in the United States with scholarships. As you can imagine, launching this new project is going to require a lot of support and resources. That is why I have created this fundraising campaign. Please join me in my mission to impact the lives of young people around the world by contributing generously to this campaign. I sincerely thank you in advance for your generous donation. Together, we are going international.
