On Saturday, March 21, 2020 we will host our 7th Annual Charity Basketball Challenge at American University in Washington, DC. As you may know SOUL is a youth development program that supports low-income youth develop the tools required for successful post-high school transitions, whether they transition is to college or a career. The philanthropic event is a one-day charity basketball tournament which raises money to advance our mission, providing resources for human capital, materials, and innovation.
The SOUL Charity Basketball Challenge emerged from a need to acquire funds to launch the SOUL. Six years later we are DC based but work with youth in three metropolitan cites (Baltimore, DC, and San Francisco). The proceeds from this event has enabled us to engage more than 1000 youth since 2013; engaging approximately 200 youth annually through our programs.
