Help us improve our community’s health by providing a safe space for sports, recreation and play.
Every city needs a hub; a space where people can come together and enjoy events, recreation, and entertainment.
These spaces give a city life. They unite individuals and provide invaluable resources for its citizens.
Currently, Eugene lacks a central point for community events and recreation. Eugene Civic Alliance sees this as an opportunity to represent the spirit of Eugene through a vibrant community space.
ECA formed in 2014 to construct and operate Civic Park. The facility will improve the health of our children, our community, and our economy by expanding access to sports and recreation.
The field at Civic Park is key to making the facility a community-focused space. In addition to hosting youth and adult recreational sports, it will host a semi-professional soccer team, collegiate sports, high school championship games, tournaments, community festivals, and other events. These events will help Civic Park become the community hub Eugene desperately needs.
But we can’t do this alone. We need your help to make this much-needed field a reality for children and adults in Eugene. Through the field at Civic Park, we will begin to address some of Eugene’s greatest needs. These include: rising obesity rates, a shortage of adequate athletic facilities, and lack of a community recreation hub.
Civic Park will provide a place for the community to enjoy watching a local soccer game, listening to a summer concert, or strolling through a neighborhood festival. It will increase opportunities for fans and athletes to reap the benefits of sports and physical activity. It will show residents and visitors alike that Eugene is a city that values community, health, and play!
