Esteem Education needs your help to finish two cornerstone STEM educational projects under production now - "Everyday Earth" and "Geology Kitchen".
Without additional funding, these two emerging, potentially revolutionary programs won't become a vital resource for teachers and students of Earth science worldwide.
EveryDay Earth is a fun, interactive adventure in which the student joins a rag-tag army of Earth scientists as they investigate the Earth and undo the machinations of evil Dr. Desmond Discord.
Using the "Terravator", students participate in Missions comprised of video-based Investigations that explore the interactions of Earth’s hydrosphere, geosphere, biosphere, and atmosphere. The Program has a game-like element which allows students to participate interactively in scientific investigations on-screen as they follow a simple unfolding storyline.
Teachers and homeschool parents can navigate EveryDay Earth as a group, in the classroom or home, using the provided lesson plans, quizzes and activities. Or just have students join the adventure on their own!
Four complete Missions containing 25 unique lessons are online today, and over 30,000 users across the globe have already used the beta version of the program! The program will be completed, with your help, by 2023 - and for each $20,000 we raise, we can create a new Lesson toward our goal of a complete 50 lesson program!
Geology Kitchen leans on our love of food to engage students on the underlying science in our daily lives. The program explores the fact that the science of food and geology are rooted in the same foundations - physics, math and chemistry. Everyone loves food, and using it to show how the Earth works is a tasty treat for rock lovers!
Geology Kitchen is currently made up of 15, 4 to 7 minute video episiodes that collectively have over 1.5 million views on YouTube. Viewers are primarily science and STEM teachers and their classroom students.
Our goal is to complete a total of 40 episodes of Geology Kitchen, complete with accompanying educational materials, free to the user without advertising.
We are working hard on these programs but we need your help! Due to COVID-19 we have seen an accelerated need for more online learning programs and a sharp increase in demand. As a 501(c)3 organization, every dollar is used carefully to help us complete and maintain our current roster of quality programs. Our goal of $100,000 will help us complete Geology Kitchen and advance the next full Mission of EveryDay Earth!
Thank you in advance for your support!
