Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance and are unable to afford necessities to improve their quality of life.
Dhian is an 8-year-old boy who has cerebral palsy. His mother was still a teenager when he was born and his father has never been involved in his life. They live with his grandfather and Dhian's aunt and uncles. His aunt is 22. His uncles are 17, 15 and 12. They are still at school.
His grandparents split, his grandmother left the family and does not support her children. His grandfather has been unable to work since March due to COVID.
So the responsibility of providing for the family falls on Dhian's aunt and his mother. Their hours have been cut due to COVID and they are struggling to provide for the needs of all the children in their care.
To support this family during this time we want to provide Dhian with formula, oatmeal, diapers and other essentials for the next month. Can you help?
