In the Gift of Anger by Arun Ghandi, Mahatma Ghandi's grandson, he tells of his birthday parties when he was young. To paraphrase, he said that his parents wanted their children not to share with others who already have, but to share with those who have not.
Please join me in my 30th birthday celebration by donating to some of those in greatest need who live right in our own city: Refugees.
The Rescue organization supports the new residents through several programs, including just helping them get basic essentials like laundry detergent and toilet paper. If it's easy for you to buy a roll of toilet paper, think of how you feel when someone didn't change the empty roll. Now imagine you don't have any in the house. And now you have to decide on getting food or toilet paper.
Please join me in supporting those who have less than we do. When we have, we are entitled to share.
