Thank you for taking the time to view my fundraising page and considering donating.
I made the decision to run the 2019 Chicago Bank of America Marathon! I have always been active and enjoyed running (not so sure how much i'll enjoy it after the marathon ;) )
I decided to run with the Special Olympics team, as I have volunteered with this organization in the past, and found the experience to be extremely rewarding, and a great time. My mom, Lynn, is a special education teacher which is what allowed me to be a part of such a wonderful cause. I volunteered as a coach/ chaperone for Special Olympics with the youth Track and Field days. The kids were so excited about participating in their events and the smiles on their faces when they recieved their medals was unforgettable.
My experiences with the Special Olympics is what made my decision easy. I would not only run the 2019 Chicago Marathon, but I would raise money for a great cause, and help keep those kids, and many others smiling.
Please consider donating to this charity through my fundraising page and cheer on team Special Olympics and myself at the marathon on October 13, 2019!
We believe connecting people through sports and physical activity are the beginning steps in spreading our mission of inclusion, acceptance, and joy. Together, we can cross the finish line towards more inclusive communities… one runner at a time!
