For over 20 years, cyclists from Orange County agencies have participated in memorial bike rides in honor and support of the families of fallen officers. On May 7, 2019, the Anaheim Police Association will be hosting our 2nd Annual E.O.W. Peace Officers’ Memorial Bike Ride. Our Anaheim officers will attend the annual California Peace Officers’ Memorial Ceremonies in Sacramento and then cycle 630 miles for four days from Capitol Hill to the Fallen Officers’ Memorial in front of the Anaheim Police Department. This ride is physically challenging and yet a small sacrifice to honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in service of their community. We are seeking your financial support as we prepare for this endeavor. All proceeds will benefit the Anaheim Police Survivors’ and Scholarship Fund (S&S Fund), founded in 1979. The S&S Fund provides financial assistance to the families of Anaheim Police Officers and other public safety personnel who are killed or severely injured in the line of duty, provides college scholarships and memorializes Anaheim Police Officers killed in the line of duty while serving the residents of Anaheim. The S&S Fund is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, Federal Tax I.D. #95-3493593.
