There are so many programs throughout the world seeking our support. Among the most effective is HEAR CONGO. Women and girls in the HEAR CONGO program not only learn a vocational skill to become independent economically, they also become powerful change makers in their communities. After they complete a literacy program, and know how to read and write, they are trained to become pair educators who teach others in their community about disease prevention, governance, civil engagement, democratic processes, human right and entrepreneurship. From vulnerability, they become leaders in their community and serve their communities selflessly.
My name is Barry Harley, I am a portrait photographer and I am thrilled and honored to be part of the media team that would capture the untold stories and these quiet heroines in DRC. The short multimedia documentaries our team will produce will highlight the women and girls who are making a difference in DR Congo. A great deal can be accomplished by telling their stories both in the region and the world. You generous donation today will help cover travel costs to accomplish this project and open a world of possibilities for Congolese women and girls.
