Join us in our mission to develop the next generation of African-American entrepreneurs, one student at a time. Brownpreneurs is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Saint Louis, Missouri. We provide entrepreneurial training workshops exclusively for African-American high school and college students. These workshops are provided at no cost to the student or their family.
St. Louis has consistently been ranked as the “Murder Capital of the United States”. Yet, St. Louis is also acknowledged nationwide as a hub for aspiring young business owners. LendingTree.com recently ranked St. Louis as one of the top ten major cities for young business founders; ranking St. Louis as number seven. Also, a study conducted on the 2010 census showed that as businesses owned by African-Americans grew, violent crimes committed by black youth decreased by 29%.
Programs like ours can have a significant impact on the African-American community from a social and economic perspective. This is why it is our desire to empower brown students to dream ambitiously, live audaciously and hope beyond limits. Our programs are intended to aid in combating the often-negative circumstances plaguing our African-American youth.
But we can’t do this important work without you! Finances should not hinder any child from receiving the support and resources they need to be successful. Your donation will help us to continue to provide our programs free of cost to students and families. Please assist us in our efforts by making a donation to Brownpreneurs!
