Hello friends and family! As you may know, I'm not much of an athlete, and there are few things that will get me moving. One of those few things, though, is my wonderful and dedicated friend/sister Ellen Airozo. Ellen works at Soccer Without Borders Baltimore, a non-profit that uses soccer as a vehicle for positive change, providing newcomer refugee, asylee and immigrant youth with a toolkit to overcome obstacles to growth, inclusion, and personal success. I've gotten to see how much Ellen loves the kids she works with, and the positive changes she's helping make in their lives through helping them find common bonds and build self confidence in a new environment through soccer. Ellen and I are running for SWB in the Baltimore 10 Miler on June 2, 2018 to raise money for supplies, equipment, and additional programming opportunities for the kids in SWB. Plus, we will be “sweating for change” through the SWB Ambassador Program presented by Positive Tracks as we run. Positive Tracks will be doubling the total dollar amount that I raise!! My fundraising goal on this page is $100. If you have even a spare dollar, I know SWB will appreciate the support.
