My Bat Mitzvah is on April 18, 2020 and for my Bat Mitzvah project, I chose to work with Tranquility Trail Animal Sanctuary. A "mitzvah" is a commandment of doing a good deed. By choosing Tranquility Trail, I am able to do a good deed by both volunteering there as well as raising money and collecting supplies. Tranquility Trail is a local, no kill rabbit sanctuary. This organization is dedicated to providing excellent care for rabbits. Many people don't realize what they are getting into when buying or adopting a bunny, so they are often surrendered. I have been going to camp there since I was 5 years old and now I can work as a counselor (even though I prefer to be a camper). I volunteer my time there whenever I have an opportunity. It makes me happy knowing I am helping an animal that was unable to be cared for previously. I am collecting money in order to provide these bunnies with the things that they need. For example, $25 sponsors a bunny for a month, $175 sponsors one for a year. If you live locally, you may also donate supplies such as paper towels, fleece blankets, white vinegar, and newspaper. I would be happy to come pick them up and bring them there. It is really fun to interact with the bunnies and help take care of them. If you are in the area, you should go check out the sanctuary – you will be amazed! It is located at 7741 E. Gray Rd. in Scottsdale. Or visit their website at www.tranquilitytrail.org. Thank you so much for considering being a part of my project and helping this great organization.
