No one should have to fight cancer alone. Even though some are fortunate to have loving support from family and friends, it can be incredibly powerful to have someone to talk to who is a cancer survivor -- someone a lot like them. Having someone who can relate first hand and has faced the same type of cancer at the same age can be so helpful in such a challenging time. Imerman Angels makes that happen by pairing individuals seeking cancer support with a “Mentor Angel.” I've chosen to run the 2019 Chicago Marathon to raise funds for Imerman Angels because I believe in the extraordinary power of the support they provide. Their awe-inspiring work fuels my energy to run through miles of training and will push me on marathon day.
Since 2006, Imerman Angels has become the largest one-on-one cancer support network in the world, connecting more than 49,000 people in all 50 states and more than 95 countries. Imerman Angels serves anyone touched by cancer, at any stage, at any age, living anywhere in the world – cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers.
Please join me in supporting Imerman Angels by donating to support my run. Although running is a passion of mine, I have only run one marathon (last year). Your support means so much, I truly appreciate it!
