Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance and are unable to afford necessities to improve their quality of life.
Eliandre is an adorable 8-month-old baby boy from the Philippines. He was born with hydrocephalus. He lives with his parents. His father works as a butcher but has lost income due to the pandemic. His family borrowed money from friends and family for hospital bills for his admission in June. They borrowed money from his grandfather who isn't asking for them to back him back but he is unwell himself and needs money to purchase his medications. But he just wants his grandson to be ok.
The hospital closest to them said they cannot do the surgery he needs and told the family they have to take him to Manila.
The family do not know anyone in Manila and do not have the funds for accommodation or surgery. They are very concerned for their son and didn't know where to turn. They have noticed his head is continuing to grow in size and he is becoming less and less responsive.
We need your help to fund Eliandre's surgery and the associated costs. We cannot let this baby suffer.
