The last several years of record-breaking winter storms have wreaked havoc on the Pine Ridge Reservation putting the people and families that live there in dire need of help!
There are currently countless families snowed in after large snowdrifts have made roads nearly impossible to travel. Entire families are stuck in their homes with limited resources, and the situation is only getting worse.
With frequent power outages, frozen pipes, and no access to propane for heat; we fear that this situation can only get worse. The Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota is home to the Oglala Lakota Tribes with an estimated population of close to 40,000. The reservation is large, has limited resources and is one of the poorest in the country.
Please help WERKER in spreading the word!
We need to help purchase a snow plow that can get families to safety and access to the resources they need to survive. The Snowplow will be operated from the Republic of Lokata (POW Camp 344) and will serve many in need, on and adjacent to the Pine Ridge Reservation.
The families on the Pine Ridge Reservation are our neighbors and friends that need our help! Anything that you can give helps and will be greatly appreciated.
