We are providing emergency drop-in childcare for essential workers during the COVID-19 state mandated childcare closure. This is a special program for essential workers - nurses, doctors, police officers, pharmacy staff, and so many other people - who need childcare in order to do their jobs, protecting the health and welfare of everyone. There is no charge to parents using the service.
We received special approval from the state to run this program. We are glad to be able do the right thing and provide this service, but it's not easy - and none of this was in our budget. Like every small program during these times, we need your help. Although the state provides a small grant to help ease the financial burden, it barely begins to cover our costs, so we are reaching out to the community for a little more help. We are grateful for the support we continue to receive from our currently enrolled families who have volunteered to continue paying some tuition during the shutdown (which is expected to last at least until May). We are also thankful to the Milton Select Board for unanimously voting to waive two months rent for us during this crisis. Can you chip in and help us, too? It’s hard for me to see how we can keep this going without additional support.
All contribution received will help us run this program during the COVID-19 pandemic, and help us run our regular program once it's over. THANK YOU.
