Will you help us be there for low-income single parents as they struggle to complete college during a pandemic?
As a nonprofit that exists to support low-income single parents as they fight to break the cycle of poverty, we are doing all we can to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on these vulnerable families. Many are now at risk of homelessness and some parents are considering dropping out of college as a result of this crisis. They have lost critical income, are facing unexpected childcare bills, and are struggling to pay rent and put food on the table. Their lives as a single parent in college were already hard before, but now? They’re in crisis.
We are disbursing emergency financial assistance but our resources are finite and we need your help to meet this unprecedented need. We have converted our annual scholarship into a needs-based emergency grant to address this challenge but the need will continue in the weeks and months to come.
PSS was created to help low-income single moms and dads graduate from college because there are so many barriers to completing their degrees. Please consider giving a donation today. You can also sign up to be a monthy donor by visiting www.pssoc.org to help a family throughout the year.
