Ella Frances has had Type One Diabetes for almost 3 years. She deals with finger pricks and having to carry around a diabetic bag 24/7 and constantly thinking about her blood sugar. Now that Ella is in Middle School she has to deal with always feeling different from her friends too. The Martin Family is extremely blessed by the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi and the support and training they provide as each day is a new day to learn with Diabetes. Ella has been blessed that her school was able to receive training for teachers and supplies for school nurses. There are several children in our community alone who deal with Diabetes every day. Also, the Martin Family has attended weekend camps and learned from experts about the disease while Ella got to hang out with kids just like her so for just a little bit she didn't feel so different. Please support this amazing foundation. ALL MONEY STAYS IN MISSISSIPPI!!! Thank you!
Everyday miracles happen because of your caring, generosity and support!
Last year, you and others like you helped the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi provide dozens of Sweet Subject Educational programs for Mississippi's schools along with 275 boxes of supplies for school diabetes emergencies.
Dozens of hospital visits were made to newly diagnosed children and backpacks of supplies and age appropriate information were given to the families.
70 families were educated and networked at our Camp Kandu, and assistance was provided to about 300 uninsured/underinsured individuals who cannot afford the insulin they require to live.
So, bring your entire family, best friends, church, classmates and co-workers to help the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi make a difference in the lives of your fellow Mississippians who live with diabetes 24/7!
