We at Active Against ALS aim not only to raise money for ALS research, but also to raise awareness of the disease while ENCOURAGING FITNESS AND HEALTHY ACTIVITIES.
We at Active Against ALS aim for our running events to encourage people to get started in running by themselves or with their friends and families.
All of the proceeds beyond the costs of putting on the race go to ALS research projects vetted and reviewed by an ALS scientific advisory board of top ALS researchers.
Thus, to keep the races accessible and maximize our ALS research dollars, we try to keep registration fees down compared to many other races by making T-shirt purchases optional and asking for extra donations from those who can afford it...
SO - can you afford to give a little extra to help us keep the races affordable and cover our increasing race costs so we can send even more to ALS research?
We know of so many people who started running with us - and hope we can all keep running together for years to come!
Active Against ALS has been around for 11 years this year! Thanks for all your support over the years!

For each race we pay for Ann Arbor police support, barricade rentals, portapotty rentals, parking meter bagging, awards, race timing, food, drinks, and more.
Our board is a volunteer board - 100% of us donate to the cause ourselves!
