Ed Woods, Meterman Working Foreman, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 25th.
Funds are being collected to assist his family with Celebration of Life services.
Ed began his career at Evergy in June 1989. Over Ed’s 31 years of service, he was a valued employee and co-worker. He also served as Union Steward with 1464.
Ed had a personality that would light up any room. He was always eager to help anyone that needed his assistance and he treated everyone he worked with like family. Ed’s daily jokes will very much be missed in the meter shop.
In Ed’s free time he was very active as a Free Mason and as an Ariat Shriner. Ed was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and you could also count on him to cheer for the Mizzou Tigers football team.
Ed is survived by his 3 daughters, Bailee, Courtnie and Ashlea.
When the girls were growing up, Ed would help coach their softball teams in the summer.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on March 7, 2021, at Ararat Shrine Temple, 5100 Ararat Drive, Kansas City, MO. Ceremony will begin promptly at 1 PM followed by a remembrance celebration where guests are invited to share stories and memories of Ed.
