Are you concerned about our future and believe that we need to come together in order to thrive?
Do you believe everyone should have the right to healthy foods, and that united we can end hunger?
Are you ready to be that hero who does something to help?
When you give to our campaign you are providing healthy and fresh local food to the community. You will help them to discover adaptive and safe agriculture within an urban environment, and teach them how to feed themselves and reduce their environmental impact.
By donating now you will join a supportive network of compassionate and diverse people striving for a sustainable future.
This is the call to action: make a direct investment in our planet's future, and help us to provide a much needed focus on community-building, collaboration, and fellowship.
Welcome, Friend! Just by being here you show your compassion and concern for others. Let us show you how you can make a difference.
We are the Sustainable Future Center, a dba and home of East Tennessee Permaculture Research Institute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization in Knoxville, TN whose vision is of an engaged community building a sustainable future.
Our mission is to empower individuals and communities to improve health and resilience by fostering a cooperative, self-reliant learning community using permaculture principles.
Permaculture, or permanent culture, is a set of whole-system principles that teach three main ethics:
care for earth
care for people
In everything that we do, we embody and promote these principles in order to build a sustainable community.
By supporting us, you empower people. United together we will show the available abundance in nature and how to effectively make use of it. No one should ever go hungry or be in want, and you can do something about it. We provide the opportunity for people like you to share their knowledge on how to create abundance in their own lives, in hopes of eliminating the struggle for survival.
We believe in the sharing of information, and encourage our community to learn and grow together by offering classes, workshops, times of fellowship, and volunteer opportunities.
In supporting us, you are also supporting the missions of other like-minded organizations. We regularly help the community through outreach and collaboration projects, and our Center provides a safe space for our friends and partners to gather together.
You are investing your money in a working demonstration site showcasing sustainable practices, such as solar panels, stormwater catchment, a permaculture urban community garden with hugelkultur, aquaponics, and more. The bounty harvested from the garden YOU are supporting is used to feed friends and neighbors.
Be a part of something worthy.
Be a force for something good.
Support us so that we may continue to support the community.
