In regards to COVID-19.
These times have been trying, mentally, emotionally, financially and we know there aren't many certainties right now especially with back-to-school. But one thing we do know is our young girls deserve a small, safe, holistic environment to learn how to thrive in their womanhood. Now more than ever, when personal health management is so crucial, EWG speaks to the important relationship of nature to our humanity and overall wellness.
Statistics show that 80% of women suffer from hormonal imbalance at one or more points in life, and often this starts at a young age. Many young girls are accustomed to feeling shame or stigma surrounding their cycles and are potentially unaware of how to use natural remedies to find balance. The majority of what is taught doesn’t address positive body awareness, hormonal balance, or holistic approaches to navigating our cycles.
What we do.
We believe by normalizing the topics of puberty and menstruation, giving girls knowledge and tools, and offering a nurturing space to freely talk about the changes occurring in their bodies, they will be better equipped for the challenges and triumphs of womanhood ahead. That is why we are here. We believe vibrant, body-spirit aware girls are our future.
Earth Within Girls is a nature-based educational program for upper elementary and middle school girls. Our mission is to empower girls to connect their internal cycles and natural environment through plant wisdom and self-care. We offer guardian/daughter workshops, in-classroom and after-school programs where girls learn a wide range of skills in sustainable plant harvest, floral art, building friendships, and deepening their own self-confidence through unique D.I.Y. activities.
We're asking for your support.
We are launching as a brand new non-profit and gathering funds for our 2020/2021 programming.
We have a goal of $15,000 to realize which will pay for supplies, local instructors, and support in our sliding scale. $150 pays for one girl's 6-week session with EWG. $35 pays for one after-school experience. Many don’t have the funds to pay for these types of programs, which is why we need your financial help. Would you consider helping us reach this goal? Any amount that feels significant to you would be received in gratitude.
Thank you for your time learning about our program.
