The teams undergo an exhilarating rehearsal process which culminates in a live dance competition at the historic Boulder Theater on Tuesday, October 23rd.

ABOUT HEATHER CINO
Heather was born to dance! She has been movin’ and groovin’ since a young age, and with support from her parents and an endless curiosity, she leapt from dance to dance. Her exploration of movement continues today, and she is always hungry for more. From the classics of Ballet and Tap to the venturing of Irish Step, Belly Dance, and African, she finds there is always more to learn. After finishing college, Heather dove head first into yet another new style and learned ballroom dance for the first time. Here she fell in love with dance once again. Heather has traveled and danced around the world, opening new doors of discovery, and is looking forward to seeing where dance and curiosity bring her next.
Heather is especially excited to join Dancing with Boulder Stars in order to support YWCA’s work and mission. Throughout her travels abroad she experienced different cultures and witnessed systemic discrimination based on race, gender, age, sexual orientation, and more, and she is alarmed by the oppression that she has seen as a result of such prejudices. She also observed other cultures that cultivated equality and freedom for all. As a result of these experiences, Heather feels passionately that in addition to dancing, her purpose is to help others feel at home, safe, and free in their own skin.
