Dysautonomia Support Network (DSN) is a U.S. based, 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization providing support, resources, education and advocacy for patients affected by the many forms of Dysautonomia and related conditions such as Connective Tissue Disorders, Mast Cell Activation Disorders, Chiari Malformation and Gastric Motility Disorders.
The DSN Scholarship Program supports our objective, to “increase confidence and independence in our members by supplying them the tools, ...and resources they need to adapt to life with chronic illnesses while challenging themselves to set new goals despite their physical limitations.”
Two (2) scholarships, in the amount of $500 each will be awarded to two (2) people selected by the DSN Scholarship Program Selection Committee. Funds will be remitted directly to the school, university or college of attendance named on the application. The selected recipient will be notified and announced on July 30th, 2018.
To be awarded a scholarship the applicant must meet the following criteria:
Be at least 17 years old (parental consent is required for applicants under 18 years old).
A U.S. resident
Currently enrolled or accepted in an accredited trade school, college or university in the USA
An active member of DSN committed to supporting the mission our organization
Diagnosed with Dysautonomia and/or related conditions such as Connective Tissue Disorders, Mast Cell Activation Disorders, Chiari Malformation and Gastric Motility Disorders by an MD or DO in the U.S.
DSN is specifically looking to assist members who have demonstrated:
Commitment to awareness and/or advocacy for Dysautonomia and Co-occurring disorders
Understanding of their needs and challenges and the ways a education will enhance their life
Resilience when facing adversity and determination to strive toward short and long-term goals.
