I wanted to compete again but thought I was selfish. I have two kids, a busy Chiropractic practice, and a furnace that needs fixing. The thought of competing would not go away. I came up with a solution by combining my love for kids, my practice as a physician, and my love for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
I partnered with one of Illinois' most prestigious and award-winning children's associations, Hephzibah Children's Association. I have now elevated my Jui Jitsu game with a purpose. I am asking for donations if I place for bronze $25, silver $50, or gold $100 at the 2018 Chicago IBJJF Open at Chicago State University. The competition takes place on March 24th and 25th. All proceeds will flow through Ed Norton's Crowdrise charity website directly to Hephzibahhome.org. Now, all I have do is win.
Please take a moment and check out the history and reputation of Hephzibah Children's Association. They truly are a gem in the Midwest for children who are in need by way of foster care, inpatient psychiatric treatment, adoption, day care, and after-school programs. They define love through service. It would be a blast to raise funds, in this unique way, for such an amazing organization. It is my hope that together we can make a difference while pursuing my passion. Cheers! - Dr. Fuller
