Beginning in 1938 with the simple ask of a $0.10 donation from every American, March of Dimes fights to raise money to fund research in preventing premature births, birth defects and infant mortality, advocate for policies that prioritize the health of mom and baby, provide resources and programs to help moms during their pregnancies and unite communities nationwide as these difficulties affect us all; not just mom and child. Two babies die every hour and one woman dies every 12 hours in the United States as a result of birthing and pregnancy complications and birth defects (that’s 48 babies and two women every. single. day.). This is not okay! But we CAN help!
Our community of individuals, teams, and businesses come together at Run for Babies to raise funds and awareness so all moms and families can experience the joy of a healthy baby. Together we hope for the day when all moms and babies are healthy. With the help of our supporters, March of Dimes is there for every family; those who had first-hand hardships, those celebrating their health and those just trying to start their families.
