Our Purpose and Vision
Door of Hope (located in Purcell, OK) is raising funds for a building that will enable us to expand our recovery services to include help for youth and troubled teens, a sober living facility, and an outreach center. For the past eight years Door of Hope has provided a safe place for men and women who have been bound by their issues, compulsive behaviors, and addictions to find recovery and freedom through Jesus Christ. Last year Door of Hope opened a house church to further spread their message of hope and healing to the community.
Door of Hope, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, began with one woman, Beverly, who found freedom from her addiction to alcohol after surrendering her life to Jesus Christ. After one full year of sobriety in a secular program, she realized her issues were much deeper than just alchohol. Beverly began attending church where she experienced miraculous healing in all areas of her life. God took her from the Valley of Achor (trouble) to a Door of Hope. (Hosea 2:15)
Through her personal journey of healing, God prepared her heart to reach out to others that struggle to find freedom. With the love and support of her husband, they have dedicated their lives to helping others and truly be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Door of Hope currently rents a small meeting place in Purcell. Our plan is to puchase a nearby lot and construct a facility specifically designed to meet our current and future needs. The $150,000 target will get us operational in our own facility, and go a long way towards adding the new services.
