Hey everyone, you know Random Acts, that organization we raise money for every year? You know, the one that does stuff like building a school in Haiti, and clearing mines in Laos, and resettling Syrian refugees in a safe new home, and building an accessible home for a disabled veteran in the US?
Yeah, you know them.
That group is doing something different this time. They're raising money for the Random Acts General Fund- the pool of money which is used whenever someone applies for funding to do a Random Act of kindness for someone in their community.
That means this time, we're building up the fund that helps people who fell through the cracks of other projects. Maybe it's a struggling person who needs good work boots, or a care home that has no protective masks, or an animal shelter that's run out of doggie beds.
The donations this time will enable people who see a need in their community to reach out and fix it, even if they themselves don't have the means to do so. At the same time, it builds a sense of community spirit at a time when a lot of us have been feeling alone.
If you can, throw in $10. If not, share this so maybe someone else can. Either way, have a great day and thanks for reading.
