We have had a record year for the Upstate! Our Female Participation has grown from 28% to 38% in ONE YEAR! We want this growth to continue, so please consider putting together a team and contributing to our mission!
Don't Rory Be Happy is a team captained by AnnaLeis Dibert! AnnaLeis is a The First Tee Alumni and an Executive Staff Member at The First Tee of the Upstate. She is a Level 2 The First Tee Coach and the site director for LPGA Girls Golf Upstate section. She is very passionate about The First Tee and the difference it can make in a child's life and in the community. Any donation amount can influence a young adult FOREVER. Please read more below!
$10.00 - $25.00 allows a young female to participate in AnnaLeis' LPGA Girls Golf Program where she will meet other girls, be paired with a mentor in her community, and learn the importance respecting herself and those around her both on and off the golf course.
$30.00-$50.00 allows both male and female participants to attend The First Tee WINTER clinics free of charge. This allows participants to practice their golf skills more in-depth with Coach AnnaLeis, Coach Audrey, and Coach Matt (All National trained The First Tee Coaches)
$50.00-$100.00 allows both male and female participants to attend an 8-week The First Tee Life Skills class on SCHOLARSHIP. The First Tee of the Upstate does not turn children away, no matter what their financial situation may be. 10% of our participants are on a scholarship. You would sponsor a child to attend an after-school class and meet new friends, learn the game of golf, and more importantly.. focus on the importance of social skills and being a better person in our community
$100.00-$500.00 allows multiple options for our youth.. 1) Coach AnnaLeis to continue her coaching education and further her PGA knowledge. AnnaLeis would like to become a Level 3 Coach by the summer of 2019 and complete her PGA schooling by Winter 2019. 2) This money will allow AnnaLeis to purchase clubs for her participants. Each child that comes to The First Tee does not have a set of clubs, so AnnaLeis has to provide clubs. Depending on class size and ages, this can be a challenge. 3) Coach AnnaLeis gives private lessons to student who are interested in furthering their golf experience (ie. high school golf, future college player, DCP participants) Not every participant can afford private lessons from a PGA instructor, like AnnaLeis. This would allow a participant to take multiple lessons and further their golf skills and confidence in their game.
