While the COVID-19 pandemic has touched the lives of millions, kids already fighting cancer are now dealing with a "secondary effect" as well.
Because of increased social distancing, isolation from family and friends has triggered all-time high anxiety levels in these brave kids.
The families we serve have always shown high resilience and resolve in the face of health challenges, and now more than ever, they depend on us to provide IPads through our " Keeping Kids Connected" program. The IPad allows them to interact with family members virtually, gives needed comfort and distraction by offering games and videos, and lowers overall anxiety.
Because of the increase in requests from our network of over 250 hospitals nationwide, we are simply overwhelmed and unable to fulfill every request.
We hope that generous donors like you will help us to provide an additional 100 IPads to these very deserving children. We pledge that 100% of your donation will give an IPad through our Keeping Kids Connected program.
We offer our prayers to the sick, and to families who have lost loved ones during this pandemic. With your help, we hope to continue to make a difference to every child. The secondary effects of COVID-19 should no longer impact kids who have cancer.
