My Sister's House has served victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Nash and Edgecombe Counties since 1981. In 1986 the agency purchased a safe house that is still in operation today. MSH is one of the few shelters in the state of North Carolina that allow victims to bring their pets with them. In 2018, MSH provided 2,805 sheltered nights and 8,205 meals to men, women, and children in crisis. Donations will help provide services to clients such as transportation (including gas vouchers and bus tokens), fresh produce, meat, and bread for the shelter, toilet paper, and daily operational expenses.
