Dear Friends, Family, and anyone that is taking a moment to help, With Dominic's outgoing personality, a smile that can light up a room, and a laugh that can brighten anyone's day... you would never know that our sweet son has such a rare disease. Dominic was diagnosed with Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation when he was just 5 months old. CDG manifests in a variety of different symptoms throughout the body and only affects about 1000 children and young adults worldwide. We unfortunately do not know what Dominic's future looks like. What we do know is that as his parents, we will not stop fighting for him. We are currently fundraising and taking on a challenge to advance CDG research, therapies and treatment strategies that will someday lead to a cure for CDG. We will be running in the Race to Wrigley, on May 6, with TEAM DOMINIC STRONG and campaigning for CDG Care to raise awareness for our sons disease. This amazing organization provides support for our unique community and above all, hope for our CDG family. Dominic, now 7 months old, has taught everyone around him what is most important in life. He made us stronger than we ever thought we could be and for that we will do whatever it takes to fight for him, his quality of life, and the CDG community. Please consider joining our team, too, and help us power up our fundraising efforts.
