COVID-19 has impacted all of us, few more so than those dealing with a cancer diagnosis. As many self-isolate, cancer patients remain at a great risk, not only today, but every day from all sorts of viruses and infections. You can help bring a smile to the face of cancer patients and those around you by participating in this challenge.
Donate $5 or MORE
Post something that makes you smile with #Smile4ACS
Challenge 10 of your friends and family to do the same
Help ensure that the American Cancer Society can be there for cancer patients and their loved ones today, tomorrow and in the years to come, until we can say we live in a world without cancer. Support the mission to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. The American Cancer Society is on the front lines providing vital information and resources for cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones during this pandemic. Thousands of calls related to COVID-19 have been fielded by our 1-800#. A number that is available 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year.
The American Cancer Society has transformed many Hope Lodges, that normally provide a place for patients and their caregiver to stay when they need to travel long distances for treatment, into places of respite for front-line healthcare workers in many states. These facilities still need funding.
American Cancer Society research funding is also in danger. A reduction in funds received could mean vital research goes unfunded. This could have long-lasting impacts in years and decades to come, as breakthroughs are missed and new treatments delayed. Donate today to not only impact the lives of cancer patients today, but those in the future. For more information on the American Cancer Society, please visit cancer.org or call 1-800-227-2345.
