Dear Family, Friends and Supporters,
As I reflect on my college graduation a few weeks ago, I am reminded once again of the significance of education and all that it has done for me. Being an undergraduate at Wash U in St. Louis gave me the chance to learn and grow everyday. Inside the classroom, I explored subjects in new and multiple disciplines each year, from finance to English literature to Arabic. Each class gave me the opportunity to expand my knowledge and ways of thinking as I engaged in class discussions and completed assignments. But college is so much more than academic learning, and along with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, International Studies and Finance, I also leave St Louis with a group of lifelong friends, countless wonderful memories, and a bunch of extracurricular activities that have expanded my horizons and enhanced my capabilities.
As I move onto the next phase of my life, to live and work in my most favorite city of all, NYC, and look forward to new experiences, adventures and opportunities, I request that in lieu of any graduation gift for me, you will please consider giving the gift of a Second Chance for education to an underprivileged girl in India through Pratham.
