For more than 40 years, Direction Service has provided Lane county with a comprehensive array of programs and services to support the physical and behavioral well-being of youth and families.
Our fundraising efforts through the Eugene Marathon will directly benefit our Youth and Family Services that offer a critical safety net in Lane County. In 2020, our team helped hundreds of families with youth (ages 0-23) living with a disability.
We help families understand, access, and coordinate services and supports to meet basic needs including food, housing, medical care, respite, and job placement.
We provide encouragement, emotional support, and continuity to reduce isolation and help families feel more control of their lives
We arrange and attend (if necessary) school, medical, mental health, and other important meetings with families to ensure their voice is heard and promote cost-saving collaboration across providers.
We ensure youth and family needs are met in a timely manner, without duplication and confusion, and before more expensive services are required.
