I've never had any desire to run. And then, Graham and I witnessed Wayne run the Marine Corps Marathon last October. He ran 26.2 miles and was still pleasant afterwards - who would have thought?! Certainly not me. So, he has inspired me to run the Salisbury Half Marathon on Saturday April 28, 2018. I've joined the Talbot Humane UNLEASHED running group and have been running 3 days a week in the elements. A few weeks ago I ran 3 miles in 16 degree weather AND I liked it!!! Each week I run a little further and feel good. Please consider sponsoring me on this journey. My personal goal is to raise $1000 for Talbot Humane. Turning 35 this coming June has put some things in perspective for me. Life is too short to make excuses and I want to inspire, connect and make an impact. Talbot Humane is an open-admission shelter in Easton that cares for more than 1,000 homeless animals each year. They won't turn away an animal in need and euthanizes only in cases of severe aggression or untreatable illness/injury. You can visit the Talbot Humane website at www.talbothumane.org to see the wonderful work they are doing. Wayne and I adopted our queen bee, Chata cat, in 2012 from Talbot Humane. We are forever grateful. Thank you for supporting me and the animals!
