Diana is from Boulder, CO.
Mark is from Erie, CO.
We started running...
Diana has been running recreationally and with a group since college and is lucky to call the network of South Boulder trails her “backyard” (living a block away).
Mark got into running to try to keep up with his brother and sister and continues running as a way to unwind at the end of the day.
We're running because...
Boulder Valley Rotary has been a supporter of Mental Health Partners and the services they provide within the community. We want to continue that support through running the Boulder Skyline Traverse Challenge to help with the suicide awareness and prevention campaign to achieve the goal of zero suicides in Boulder County. Running the Boulder Skyline Traverse is a challenge and can be a metaphor for life. It has its ups and downs. It’s easy at times and can also be a struggle. But completing it is a rewarding experience. We hope this will help bring the issue of suicide to light in a positive way, helping those struggling with depression to get the help they need and helping survivors destroy the stigma of talking about suicide.
