Imagine living without enough water to drink. This is the reality for the remote community of Dhodeni in Nepal. 56 families in this small village spend hours each day walking to fetch water. This task often falls upon women and young children - limiting their chance to study, to earn money, or to just be a kid. Without enough water, farming villages like Dhodeni can't grow healthy vegetables. Drinking polluted water increases illness and shortens lifespans.
dZi has partnered with the community of Dhodeni on an ambitious project to bring clean water to the doorstep of every house in the village. This simple project will completely transform the lives of 250 people.
Community members have already donated hundreds of days of labor to the project, getting ready to install the pipeline. All we need to do is raise the funds necessary to make this dream a reality!
Join dZi and Mexicali Blues in bringing the gift of water to Dhodeni. Every donation matters. Thank you!
